He played last year too. I believe we have him listed as a lefty - switch pitchers would be... complicated to handle in the game. Would need a lot of effort by us to handle one player.

What do you do when a guy like that faces a switch-hitter? Especially since doing so created the real world equivalent of a stack overflow error with Venditte in a game?

In real life, I'd imagine the game would be called due to time constraints in the event that a switch hitter faced a switch pitcher. :-)

When it happens the switch pitcher must declare which arm he will be using then the switch hitter makes his choice. That's the MLB rule.

No the rule already exists. The pitcher must indicate what hand he will throw with then the batter gets to choose.
