Draft Advice for a Noob

My two main weaknesses are in SP and OF, and that is where the two best remaining players in the draft are.

Player #1 (SP)

10/7/6 Leader/INT/WE

3/6/2 Current Pitching
6/8/8 Potential Pitching
9 STM, 68% GB
4 pitches between 6 & 7 potential

Player #2 (RF)

1/6/10 Leader/INT/WE

2/3/2/1/2 Current Batting
7/10/7/6/7 Potential Batting
8/5/5 OF Defense
8/10/8 Running

whatre their ages? I'd go with the SP, but if the SP is like 23 and the OF is like 19 then you should go with the OF

Damien might be onto something with the age (I prefer guys around 21 though because they still have some time to develop their current ratings as opposed to old college graduates yet they aren't nearly as much of a crapshoot as highschoolers), but their Int/WE ratings indicate that both have a good shot at developing. I'd be drooling at that pitcher, but I'd also be more worrying about him getting injured and I've not had as much luck developing pitchers as I have hitters so I could see going for the hitter too. The pitcher is a little more developed which is important and has great leadership which would be nice to have too. Maybe you should even consider the strengths of each throughout the league and put a little more weight on the more scarce talent type.

I'd say the outfielder has a little more upside, but is a much riskier bid. If you are solid financially and have a strong farm system, go with the hitter. If you're more middle-of-the-road, pick the pitcher - he's a surer bet.
