Isn't Spring Training already in the game? I'm pretty sure trades are as well. If not, my league is SCREWED.

Spring Training - Big thing for me - Should be able to use NRI and not have to give players contract to play in spring training. Alsofix the statistics issue when using double switch where fielding statistics show up for two positions when you put a player in a different spot in the lineup.

Put me in the boat that wants NRI's. Oh how sweet it would be to test a player out in Spring Training without having to give him a guaranteed contract.

I just hope we get a list of "features" prior to the pre-order period running out.

Can we designate teams' spring training cities? I want spring training in Alaska.

I'd like to see support for having baseball teams play football instead of baseball, especially in the winter when it's too cold for baseball.

I'd also like to see increased support for septuple-headers.

Would the above posters care to explain why they are trying to turn a relatively reasoned post into some kind of joke?
This whole "lets make fun of Mgom every chance we get" routine is rather grade schoolish(sic). Not saying there are not times where it might be deserved, I just don't think this was one of them..... nor do I feel such behaviour should be condoned be the MODS, much less perpetuated. ![]() If the MODS on this forum have a problem with the content of Mgom's posts, they have the tools to properly deal with the issue. Insulting Mgom's inteligence (directly OR indirectly) is not one of those tools. -T

This thread is really not well....ehem. You don't have to give major league contracts now as the current system stands.

Seriously, if this kind of trolling were to happen to any other poster on this forum, all heck would break loose and warnings would be handed out. But because it is Mgom, it is OK? Sorry, I don't see it that way..... There was nothing in his original post to provoke the type of responses he was given. Nothing.

Sorry, but some posters have histories. You may have also noticed that when jbmagic asks if the "AI has been fixed", he tends to get a less than serious response as well.
Again, if you don't like it, you're welcome to report posts using the "report post" feature.

I know what you are thinking, "What has that to do with anything?". You are right of course. In this case jbmagic DID NOT ask about the AI, nor did Mgom post anything that deserved the response he got. Try as you might you can't justify it, and I think you know that. Just because you may not agree with someone most of the time, or perhaps find their posting style confusing, even OT, does not mean you have the right to demean them every time they post. With Mgom, that is pretty much what happens. But hey, if the mods allow it, and it makes you feel better about yourself, who am I to question you on it?

I don't know about jbmagic, if the post simply said "has the AI been fixed" then yes it can be met with plenty of ridicule... no specifics given, seems the AI is working, what specifically is the question about? This post is not that. This post had 2 subsets, a group dealing with trades, and a group dealing with spring training. Specifics listed under headers. There are other users that have questions that pertain to far lesser interests that aren't met with any ridicule. Apparently because they don't have this magical "history". It doesn't really matter... if he makes a ridiculous post of questions then ridicule him all you like, when it's a post asking about features that I'm sitting in the beta forum hearing people suggest repeatedly then it's ridiculous that I see these kind of responses. Beyond that, a moderator has very little leeway in snippy responses. When I see "moderator" I see a person that, in some way (whether it be large or small), is representing OOTP. If I then see a post that seems perfectly reasonable and a moderator making fun of the poster it reflects badly on OOTP.... I don't see Mgom's history here, I see a reasonable question being made fun of by someone representing OOTP. I don't know Mgom's history, and I've been around quite a while. A new user perusing this forum thinking about this game certainly isn't going to know anything of Mgom's history, but he is going to see a representative of OOTP making fun of what seems a reasonable question. That, in turn, is going to leave a bad taste in their mouth about any question they may have if/when they buy the game and ask questions of their own.

I hope having a record of a club's managers throughout history will be available through a team history report.
I hope you can see Spring Training final standings all season long in a League Report. I hope the "keep all transactions" bug has been fixed. |
