Questiosn on how feeder leagues work

Hey all

I'm starting a league that will have a 68 team feeder league and when creating the major league system that it will be feeding, I'm wondering if the players of said feeder league will be used in the amateur draft, or if that is something completely different and separate from it? Anyone ever tried this out before?

I have used feeder leagues, they work great, gives you a nice look at the future of the game. The players go directly into the amateur draft for the league they are feeding. You could make one (or more) feeder league for each of your Major leagues.

The players go into the ammy draft the season after they reach the "age of graduation" from the feeder league. I believe if you want different ages in the draft pool, you need different feeder leagues with different age ranges. Players don't leave the feeder league early, as far as I know.

I think they can, but by a roundabout route. I did a test where I created a player in a High School league, gave him HGH+ ratings and at the end of his first season at HS (he was only 15) he got released by the school and signed by a Major League team...

If you set the minimum age for your leagues at 18 or something, that shouldn't happen. Worse case, they'll get signed, but won't play until 18. But it usually works okay.
