Wiffle Ball League

Hey guys. I'm attempted to make a wiffleball league in OOTP 2007, but I'm just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I've did a few things like turn off financials and make the pitcher movement and home run modifier a lot higher. Any other ideas?

I would imagine that your stadiums would need to be set up to simulate a backyard or something similar. You'll need to make the dimensions very small and probably modify the ballpark factors considerably. Average attendance would be an issue as well.

You might be pushing the limits with this idea. I don't know if OOTP will be able to generate the results that you're seeking. Theoretically the settings and modifiers are there and could be used, but I don't know that the game engine will ultimately be able to handle it all properly.

Well it's kinda just for fun. So far I've set the average attendance at 25, but have yet to modify the ballparks yet.

No idea about the modifiers, but redsoxford posted a bug to Tech Support with low attendance- I think he had set average attendance to 25, and for one game there were negative 5 people in the stands! Those are some unhappy fans...

The dimensions don't really affect gameplay from what I've read, so it doesn't matter. And I think that the ball physics for a wiffleball would be..weird? I dunno. You'd probably do good to download the stadium spreadsheet and input the info and see what you come up with..

Yeah, the dimensions only affect the play-by-play; with fences 14 miles from home plate, you'll see a lot of 14 mile home runs. The ballpark factors do, however, have a significant effect, so if you want small parks, change the HR factor for the ballpark.

In the Greenland Winter Ice Baseball League the Alert Desolation have had several games with negative attendance.

It would make it easier if you could have ratings based on a certain type of pitch. Back in the day, my curveball would have a 250 rating since it used to break 6-7 feet with a decent wind.
