Brian Nichols Joins Grey Dog as Lead Basketball Developer

Phoenix, AZ December 1st, 2006 – Grey Dog Software, LLC today announced that Brian Nichols has joined the company as Lead Basketball Developer. Brian brings six years of gaming experience and insight to Grey Dog.

“Grey Dog Software is very excited have a developer with the credentials of Brian Nichols joining the team,” said Arlie Rahn, CEO. “He has a strong track record of addicting games with outstanding customer service. We hope to help him continue to improve the Fast Break line of products with our services, marketing and existing infrastructure.”

Previously, Brian was CEO and lead developer for Fast Break Basketball (FBB) and Fast Break College Basketball (FBCB), releasing his first game in 2001. In 2002, he was the main developer for the published Season Ticket Basketball. Brian and his titles, FBB and FBCB, still maintain an extremely loyal fan base.

“This is a great chance to return to the programming world with the support of the great people at Grey Dog. I’ve been happy with my previous efforts while working alone, but there wasn’t always enough time to get everything done that I wanted. Having the ability to spend more of my time coding will give me a chance to accomplish more of what I hope to add in future releases,” states Brian Nichols.

Grey Dog’s website features contact information, press and news related items, game information, and message forums. Grey Dog is located at http://www.greydogsoftware.com.

With all respect to Mr. Gorski and his great basketball games (and his superb TotalProGolf - everyone check it out!), FBCB is the most played game on my harddrive, and has been for a good few years now (excepting OOTP). To hear he's 'back in the game' so to speak is great news.

Fast Break was an interesting game when it came out. It came out a looong time ago. At this time, TPB is miles ahead of it in both playability and accuracy. It'll be interesting to see if Nichols can get things going again, though. Competition is always a good thing, "GREAT NEWS!" aside.

Good to hear! I'm a big fan of FBCB.
