CPU edits my roster during an auto-play

In testing how the game reacts when I put the game on auto-play, my team is edited by the CPU, in whcih they release and waive some of my players along with tinkling with my line-ups and minor leagues.

Does someone know if this is a bug, or can be toggled in-game to prevent this from happening?

Thank you!

I don't have my game open, but there is a option under game setup that lets you select either you or the AI to handle lineups. Might want to check that. I might be wrong. It may be under the Manager "Home" page. It's there somewhere...........I'll shut up now.

I put a post in another forum about how the AI wasn't following my lineups even though I had set that only myself was to handle setting lineups in the team control settings on my GM homepage. I reset my lineup card again and still the AI would not have that lineup when I went to manage a game. Frustrated me to the point that I just tossed that league, after it took me hours to set it up.

Make sure you officially manage the team, not only 'act as' from the menu in the top right corner. If you only select 'act as' the team is still run by the CPU...

How do you become just manager of a team, and not general manager?

I am the team's GM in this league, along with setting commissioner mode with it.

Good question, I don't know if that was what messed my league up or not. I was the GM and I had set myself up to control lineups in the team control settings on the GM homepage but still my lineups got changed by the AI. Can anyone tell me if this will continue to happen as long as I am the GM and if that is the case then the above question on how to be just a manager is important.

Then again that might mean your computer GM will then be able to make roster moves which is what I also want to be in control of. I am beginning to really miss the human/computer control option from 6.5

What value does this option have?

Either you manage or you don't.

If you are the commissioner of the league this will allow you act as the appropriate team to sign FAs too or process trades with.

Bump this. I'm having the same problem. My setting have me controlling everything yet when I sim through a week my lineups aren't what I set them up to be. This is extremely annoying and I'd like to know if it's going to be addressed.

I posted this same issue earlier, but this thread seems to have more pub.

I am going to be commish of an online league, and need to control all thirty squads without having any other moves be made by the CPU because I'm not going to be importing/exporting league files.

I dont have the game in front of me right now, but isn't there details in the Depth Chart where the AI will insert backup players every 5 or so games at each position? I think they are set at a default where each player in your starting line up will be subbed during the week. Check that and change the sub instructions...hope I got that right for you.

That's not the issue it's changing the actual order as well as the players in it. It also happened to me on opening day when there should have been no reason for any subs to be in.

Happening here too. I'm set as GM, I'm not "on vacation" and I'm the "commissioner." I have no coaches managing my lineups, rosters. It seemed to me that the minute I used "have AI arrange organizational rosters, etc." one time, say at the beginning just to get everyone on a roster somewhere, it happens.

I've done this, made all sorts of changes, and then simmed/autoplayed, only to find out upon return that lineups, rosters have changed and that players who I didn't put on waivers were put on waivers and claimed, etc.

If you are the commissioner, then you are not really the GM. It might seem like you are, but you are not. You will only be able to "act as" the GM to do certain things. Not that I agree with the way this is, but that's how it is unless it gets changed.

If that is the case, then it has to be changed. Otherwise online leagues are going to have a ton of trouble.
