OOTP Logo Contest Week 2 - Finals Poll

Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry and Congratulations to the 7 finalists. I have also added an 8th "Wild Card" logo to this poll. This was an entry that was omitted from the first round due to an oversight.

I have included all of the entries that received more than 10 votes in the first round.

I will run this poll for 2 days and announce the winner on Saturday. I probably won't get to it until sometime in the afternoon or evening as I am going to be at work counting inventory (in single digit or below weather. Fun.) on Friday and Saturday.

Good Luck everyone!

Here are the finalists:

Voted for 8. But i REALLY like the Wild Card entry. 2 & 6 could've gotten my vote, too. But you can't go wrong with any of them.

It came down to 8 and 17. I picked 8, but it took me a while.

Like I said earlier, I would have voted for 8 if something on it had to do with Baseball, but I went with 20 over number 2 because he seemed to incorporate the theme better.

all are very good, especially 2 and 6, but 8 is better than many actual professional team logos. if the person who made 8 continues in this competition, unfortunately no one else will win. you are the logo master. the wild card entry is well done, but the T looks a little too much like the Texas Rangers logo, which I think is a no-no in this competition.

I was hoping this wouldn't come up. I'd hate to see them, or anyone for that matter, to discontinue their participation in the competition. I imagine some will laugh at this, but I think some of these logos are verging on works of art. I'm very much enjoying going over the detail in each one, seeing what works what doesn't and trying to spot the symbolisms that might not be readily noticeable. It would be most unfortunate to lose out on future works. If anyone is considering not continuing, please don't.

8, 10, 17, and 20 could all easily have my vote but I settled with 8. Great job by everyone! If anyone gets discouraged about not winning, competition is a good thing. Take your time and fine detail your final presentations. The quality in difference is not that far apart on any of them and they are all much better than I could do!

I agree. The spirit of this competition is to provide a wealth of logos for the community as a whole. I guarantee that many of the logos that did not receive a huge number of votes in the contest will end up being used in a league somewhere. Even some of the simplest of entries are much better than anything I could do.

I hope that everyone continues to submit their work.

That being said, I still receive plenty of emails that say: "I'm not the greatest graphic artist but" and "Couldn't think of anything great but here's my entry anyway". Hopefully that will continue until we run out of logos to do!

Like the old saying goes, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I should say, this comes from the perspective of someone who entered both competitions. Mine was #5 in the first San Antonio poll. I thought it was ok, had fun doing it, but clearly not in the class of some of the others. That being said, I agree with the others, that the fun is in putting the things together, expressing some creativity, seeing others ideas, etc. Keep up the good work, all.

This is very difficult. I went with 8 although I didn't vote for it in the original polls. Are 9 and 17 done by the same person? They got my vote in Poll 1 and Poll 2.

I still like 9 the best even though it's more simple.

IMO: #17 wins narrowly over #9. #8 is good too.

Close between 9 and 17 for me. I ended up picking 17.

I went with #2. I would have gone with #20, but that T just reminds me too much of the Texas Rangers (Which has already been said). Maybe if the colors had a been a bit different on the T it would have won my vote.
