This is a small (9KB) excel file that helps you calculate whether your player will likely have another MLB year by the end of the season. The reason why this is important to know is because whether a player is FA eligible, arbitration eligible, or an auto-resign depends on his MLB service years.
FA Eli 6 mjr yrs Arb Eli 3-5 mjr yrs Auto Re-Sign <3 mjr yrs I believe the OOTP6.03 salary reports are correct regarding the above, except for players with 2 or 5 years MLB service. In those cases, you might find this file useful. It is especially important for those 5 MLB year players who might become FAs next year, but the salary report says they will be arbitration eligible. It is available at: http://members.shaw.ca/kq76/ootp/ EDIT: As a reminder, any minor leaguers currently with 5 years pro service and not on the 40 man will become FAs next year if you have that option enabled, but the salary report does not list that as being the case. Same with rule 5 eligible players, but with 2-4 pro years. EDIT2: The start date in the excel file should be the date found on the schedule editing screen. This should usually be the date of the first game, but you might want to check with your commish to make sure they are the same. The reason for this is, as sporr pointed out at: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=68622 , the game starts counting service time according to this date and not from the day of the first regular season game (if they are different). EDIT3: This will help during the year, but if you check at the very end of the year, the game should get most if not all of these right on its own.
