NEWS FLASH !!

Word out of OOTP Developments today confirmed that the game's developer is hard at work on Version 6. Local sources claim seeing lights in certain windows that haven't been out in weeks, and neighbors are curious as to whether the well know developer has even set foot outside during the same period.

One over anxious neighbor / customer even called in the local police, thinking something foul had happened to the game's creator - and a local TV station has set up shop across the street with some various high powered lenses to see if they could get a peek at Markus.

The world awaits his next, great creation, and this reporter will sit in his car day and night in the hopes of bringing you more information.

Man, sitting in a car day and night is a really crappy job !! But then the pay is good… it amazes me how much a baseball game fan would pay to find out what’s coming next !! No, I can’t divulge my client’s name, but let’s say he’s…. anxious.

I finally had to go find a pot and get another cup of coffee – and on the way back to the car, ran into a Katherina Dannenberg who lives a few doors down from our well know developer. She was quite a “looker”, and about 25 years of age, so I smiled when she passed, and she asked me if I was from the TV station staking out Markus humble abode.

“Oh no”, I responded. “I’m a PI”.

“A what?”, she countered, looking at me sideways

“A private detective. I’m trying to get some inside information on when Markus is going to release the next version of OOTP”, I offered.

“Oooohhhhh”, she moaned (man was she cute!).

She went on….

“Well, you’ll be lucky if you see him. Every year, this time, he locks himself up in that old house and disappears for a couple months. At least he always said Hi to me when we passed on the sidewalk.”

“Hummm….”, I said. “Sounds like you have a bit of a crush on our world famous developer?”.

She blushed (and looked even cuter by the way). “Well…. Maybe.”

I bought here a soda and she filled me in on Markus’ programming habits. She told me he prefers to work at night and sleep during the day, and during his marathon programming sessions you can hear “Oh Yeah!” now and then from his abode. She said he gets rather excited when he gets a routine working correctly. (Personally I wondered if the overheard comments had anything at all to do with programming).

After a long discussion, Katherina gave me some hints on when I might actually see our favorite programmer step outside – and also confessed she wishes she knew more about baseball so she could offer him some help. As a side comment, I offered to teach her the game

So gang, I will be investigating Katherina’s information, watching Markus' dwelling with renewed interest, and teaching Katherina the game of......Baseball.

After hacking my way into the OOTP Delvelopements ftp server and spending hours surfing threw the kilobytes of data there I finally found a OOTP 6 Screenshot. It looks oddly familiar though.
