Pitcher Role/Primary Position

I've noticed that the AI picks the best reliever to be the closer. The AI then changes the role to "Closer"

Does the AI ever change the role of a reliver to a starter or starter to reliever?

Does the AI ever change the primary position of a position player?

Not that I've noticed (to both questions).

I have seen the AI change players position. I had one guy change from a MR to a SP and an 2B to a 3B and Back.
