Can't Load History From Almanac?

I seem to remember having this problem before, but I can't remember if there was a solution. I can load the almanac and visit most of it, but when I try to load the history pages from any history link it won't work. I checked in my almanac settings and I definitely have the history box checked for MLB.

I have disabled all the minor league boxes, disabled the log settings, and disabled other things all to improve sim speed (I'm testing something), but I don't think doing any of those things should have disabled the history pages.

I did test it with my ongoing league and it's not a problem there so clearly it's something I disabled with the fast sim test league, but what exactly has this side effect I don't know.

Any ideas?

I did test it on 3 browsers (Vivaldi, Chrome, and Edge), but I get the same result with all 3.

Okay, that's weird. After posting the above, after poking around the settings a bunch trying to find out why those files weren't generating, when I finally went back to the game, files began generating, it took forever, and then when I tested it from the latest almanac I could load the history pages! So I checked the almanac folders from a file explorer and the history files are there in the latest almanac year's folder, while all the previous almanac year's history folders are still empty. I then check the settings and I don't think I see anything that changed. I had poked around in there previously like I said, but I just don't see anything different. So weird.

By the way, wouldn't it make sense for the history folder to be outside the almanac year folders and they all just point to it instead of them being generated every year maybe?
