Help with Schedule Auto-Loading
Hi, I'm trying to build a schedule for a custom league in OOTP 26. I think I've got it (pretty much) where I want it but I'm trying to figure out two things as I test thind out.
1) How do I get the schedule to auto-load when I create a new save. 2) There's an inter-league element that I'd like to rotate but it's not loading that automatically. I've attached two files that I've created. When I create a new league that matches the setting of the file, it says under League Settings > Options that the file has been loaded. ![]() But if I go to the Edit League Schedule section under League Settings > Functions then the games don't match my schedule. I can then select my file under Actions > Import from File and it imports successfully. This isn't a big deal but it'll be nice if it imported correctly when I started a new file. When I simulate a year in and go to the preseason, it says that the 'S1' version of the file is loaded but again, the schedule does not match either the 'S1' or 'S2' schedule. I can import the 'S2' version of the file and it imports correctly but my goal is to have this all happening automatically. Can anyone let me know if what I want to do isn't possible or if I've done something wrong with the naming convention or with my files. FYI, here's what I'm trying to achieve in case it turns out to be relevant. * 2 sub leagues * Each sub league has 2 divisions * Each division has 6 teams = 24 teams in total. * Each team plays their division opponents 18 times (90 games -- 45 home/45 away) * Each team plays teams in the other division in their league 6 times (36 games -- 18 home / 18 away) * Each team plays teams in the other league 3 times (36 games -- 18 home / 18 away) * Every series is 3 games (therefore 54 series over a season) * Interleague games happen in two distinct phases over the season. At the 1/4 mark of the season, one league hosts the other over 6 series, at the 3/4 mark of the season, the other league hosts the other for 6 series. * I'd like the interleague series to swap the home/away each season which is why I've made two schedules. The interleague is the only difference between the two files. * The in-universe reason for this structure is that it's for an Australia/New Zealand league and the Australia/New Zealand teams only play each other on these two phases. Please let me know if there's any questions for me to answer. Thanks in advance for any help. |

I admit I am doing very little here in hopes this get to the solution...
Check out https://wiki.ootpdevelopments.com/in...ng_Conventions. The section about "Saved Game" Naming Convention may give you what you want. If you have both files in the folder with like those "S1" & "S2" after the "C" piece in the name, I think it might handle automatically alternating between the two year-to-year. Having that those unique pieces before the "C" may be confusing the loader because it does not adhere to the exact rules for names that can be recognized automatically. As for the schedule you see at first not being at all like yours, I would guess that is because a different file in the Schedules folder satisfying the structure and parameters got used, even if the "loaded from file" says otherwise.

Ahhh, thank you so much. I swapped the S1 and S2 to after the C and everything is now working.
