NEWS: Active Orders Limit Increased
Good morning, everyone!
Based on user feedback on the subject, today the team has made the decision to increase the active orders limit from 75 to 100. The change is now active in the game. Happy ordering!

Hi,
This is good, but if this is to address the difficulties with Combinator card upgrades discussed in the relevant topic, the more necessary step is to allow players to buy more than 10 copies of the same card. There are cards that have so few Combinator matches that the only feasible way to upgrade them is to accrue tens of copies of the cards that contribute points in an economical way. Example: I have a Pug Cavet (58) Combinator card. I need 2,845 points to upgrade it to the next level. The card worth the most points towards upgrade success in the game (I think) is 91 rated Alex Avila, which only contributes 250 points. That's a 6,000pp card to get less than 10% of the required points. The most economical cards are 67 Ossie Vitt and 67 Bernie Boland, but I would need about 50 of each in order to get 100% success chance. No other bronze or iron card is worth more than 12 Combinator points. Is this being discussed as a possible change, too?

Hey DotDash, thanks for the info on the bell curves and stuff in another thread. Was useful having that pointed out.
As far as the difficulty of upgrading goes, don't you think it's just a part of the dynamics? Cards will get easier to upgrade as more of their teammates enter the game. It strikes me that it's been quite carefully thought out. I do think that the CC selection page needs to be improved a lot, though, in terms of card sorting. It's done my head in when I've used it. |

Thanks for the comment. If I'm not mistaken, each card has a chance of dropping as a Combinator version, so some will be more difficult to upgrade than others, and some will become more easy to upgrade as time goes by, but possibly not before the (tournament) meta passes them by completely. So it all seems based on randomness to me, with the added difficulty of not being able to check in advance how many combinator matches there are going to be for a card you may have your eye on. You can kind of try to assess it in advance, but really you need to buy these expensive cards first, before you know if upgrading them is even feasible. Don't understand why accruing more copies of the same card is still being held back (no reasoning given by the devs), but this would go a long way in making every Combinator card upgradable, instead of invalidating this new (and kind of fun) mechanic for a whole bunch of cards.
