Still crashing have version 39

every other game it just shuts down, very frustrating luckily i havent started my season yet or it would be a disaster

I am on a pc. I have found that adjusting audience detail to "detailed" audience quality to average and audience animation to off I do not get crashing at all. This is located in the Settings tab for 3D + Facegen area. Once I try to utilize improved audience graphics that is when the crashing starts.

We should have a hotfix for this soon.

One thing that may help in the meantime is if you're seeing this, if you go to main screen > settings > 3d & facegen > Open GL Mode > then select 'Use OpenGL only for 3D'

Please try that out and let us know if you still see this after that or not.

I do believe that the "open gl only for 3d" is the key for success. Have played 3 games with the Audience detail at HQ, audience quality at XHIGH, and Audience animation at XHIGH. Tha t wasn't possible before. And might I say the graphics were great. Small sample but Hey!

Also I asked earlier how long do I have to request a refund and never got an answer. I want to see if this issue gets resolved but don't want to wait so long that I can't get refunded. Game is no good to me as is.

For anyone having these issues, we've made a build that will hopefully fix the black screens and crashing when pinch-hitting for a pitcher or switching to or from 2d modes.

If you're on Steam, you can access this by doing the following:

Joining the OOTP 24 beta

Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 24
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the beta tab.
Open the beta pull-down and select "beta". The password is ootp24betapt
Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
Open the client again. It should then download the beta build if there is one

If you're on the standalone/Fastspring version then please download and install the patch from any of the following links:

Windows: https://cdnfiles.ootpdevelopments.co...otp24setup.exe

Mac:
https://cdnfiles.ootpdevelopments.co...4Installer.dmg

Please let us know if this fixes the crashing issues for you (and also runs smoothly otherwise). We'd like to release this as a hotfix asap but need a few more eyes on this first to make sure things are properly fixed. Thanks

I was able to finish two spring games with no issues after downloading the patch. That was a first for me. Before i could not get passed the seventh inning without getting the black screen. Hopefully the issue has been corrected. Thank you and I'll let you know if I have anymore issues.

I'm not sure you read my post correctly. I downloaded the the most recent patch this morning and after two spring games I have had no issues. Hopefully this continues.

I think Lukas was quickly going through the threads making sure to note the new patch (now build 42, previously he had listed build 41). Glad that the issues seem to be resolved

Just tried with new patch and first game 8th inning put in pitch runner and crashed. Going to try one more time with settings way down again.

Update just played 2 games. First game no problems put in relievers put in pitch hitter all good. Second game put in pinch runner and crashed again. So both games when pinch runner used game crashed. Have latest patch and had all settings with crowd and 3D etc set to default and med first crash and had setting at suggested settings when having problems it crashed also. Yesterday it seemed like game was crashing every other game when i hit start game then little by little game would crash in middle of game and now today when put in pinch runner.

Incredibly Frustrating bi cant even finish a game without it crashing and my season starts on friday
