Refs need to be suspended more often

This ump shouldn't just be suspended.

He screwed with the integrity of the game and should be severely punished. I'm not so sure I'd go to the degree of lifetime ban - because we've all seen players do MUCH worse (not always impacting the integrity of the game, but with consequences much worse than affecting merely a game) - because we all deserve second chances. But a one-year suspension I think would be in order.

A few dozen Houston BlackStros screwed with the integrity of the game to a much more significant degree... and remain unpunished. Unlike in the case of this ump, their cheating scandal was not simply a momentary lack of composure resulting in very poor snap decision.

I literally haven’t seen a player “do worse” because players don’t call balls and strikes. That’s a BS call done for no reason other than pique and dude has no business calling games if he can’t be even the slightest bit non-biased to call a pitch literally a foot outside of the strike zone as a strike. It’s okay, there are plenty of jobs available to a manchild. Police officer, for example.

I didn't mean that players routinely did worse on the field. I was referring to shootings, killings, beating on women, DUI's... things that have real-world consequences... I'm not defending the guy. Just pointing out that his momentary loss of composure doesn't - IMO - mean he should be banned for life. YMMV

I just think it's interesting that when I post something that's outside the mainstream groupthink, it gets noted as something to be frowned upon or whatever, whereas politically inflammatory groupthink stuff is no big deal... Then again, that's groupthink. So, now that I really think about it, I shouldn't think it's all that interesting - and certainly not surprising - after all...

Thanks for the opportunity to learn a new word: Risable. Doesn't apply here, because whether or not CC is conservative doesn't change the facts of who/what he calls out and what he doesn't. And, knowing your politics, what you might consider "conservative" and what is actually conservative are pretty much two different things ... but I'll make a note of that word for future use!

And why would you think I'd want the mods to intercede on my behalf? After all, I was a willing participant in "that other forum" and not once called on anyone to be censored or censured or whatever...
