Yankees' Monument Park / Dodgers' Ring of Honour / Blue Jays' Level of Excellence

Are there any other names for areas like this that honor a past team's greats?

I'm crafting a feature request and I'd like to look into what different teams do.

I couldn't find anything for basketball and hockey, but there is a comprehensive List of halls and walks of fame for individual baseball teams (scroll down) and a listing of American football museums and halls of fame in Wikipedia.

EDIT: Many of these "HoFs" probably exist only as a list of names and jerseys hung from the rafters but, perhaps by following some reference and external links, you will learn of the existence of, say, the Miller Park Walk of Fame (now called the American Family Field Walk of Fame). And by googling for that specific name, you can find out more about how it is laid out.

Excellent! Thanks. I'm surprised how many are called HoFs. I thought more would want the name to be different than HoF like in the title.

My pleasure. See what I just said in the edit above, though. Most of these are probably ethereal in nature, not tangible.

So for example, by knowing of the existence of a "Miller Park Walk of Fame" (the old name), I searched and learned that it actually does have a physical presence, a mixture of statues and granite home plates installed in a plaza outside the ballpark.

"Ring of Honor" is another biggie. They apparently have no problem copying one another.

However, I recommend briefly clicking through the links to ascertain if the list compiler(s) took shortcuts and there are actually other names in use.

Yeah, I wonder if the wikipedia link you posted is more about small areas that you can walk through and look at plaques and what not while Rings of Honor / Levels of Excellence are more about a ring at the base of upper decks that people can see from their seats. I was thinking about them as one and the same, but it doesn't matter for our purposes.

Basically, I'm just wanting a screen, somewhat like the Retired Numbers screen, but a little nicer like with a bronze plaque with the player's picture frozen in time and not requiring the player's number being retired (because, in general, I'm not a fan of retiring numbers and I certainly don't think it should be necessary to add them to such a screen).

If someone feels that a certain team's way of doing it really stands out, maybe point it out.

The Cardinals have a pretty good HoF. Each year though, it's getting diluted more and more. Tommy Herr? Really?
