Question Right way to format Longitude/Latitude for your ballpark

I checked the longitude/latitude for my teams locations and put them in the ballpark. When I clicked on the google earth button my boys were freezing their sacks off somewhere in Siberia instead of sweltering in Soho.
40.7233° N, 74.0030° W put it in as 40.7233N and 74.0030W.

I tried with an "-" in front of the long/lat as well and ended up in the Pacific Ocean LOL Should have entered it as 40.7223 and -74.0030 (and rtfm too). A bit of positive, a bit of negative, et voila :-)
I'll give it another stab in the morning, pretty sure that will do the trick.
Appreciate the assist CB.

Thanks again CBeisbol, worked like a charm.

Longitude West is a negative number, East (Europe, Asia) is positive.

North American longitudes will all be expressed as negatives.

ex: Wrigley Field
41.9484
-87.6553

Got them all working and in right locations.
I put the Subway Rats ballpark, The Rats Nest, right where Madison Square Garden/Penn Station is LOL.

Nice! It's those little mundane details that make the game extra fun.

If you plug in the lat/long coordinates for my Waffletown team's ballpark, the map marker will put you between home plate and first base of the Vermont Lake Monster's ballpark in Burlington, VT... main reason for that is, the Waffletown logo is actually an alternate logo used by that team years ago (they changed their name for one game to the "Maple Kings").... so I figured since I borrowed their logo for my team, might as well make their ballpark the lat/long coordinates.
