Draft pick trading on Draft Day
I have draft pick trading enabled in my league, but it disables draft pick trading the day of the trade. I imagine there's a programming reason for this, but sometimes I'd like to have that ability.

I think it's so OOTP can keep track of draft picks more easily once the draft starts, no mid-draft trades, etc. There are a lot of improvements that need to be made to it.

I would like to see Trades happen at Draft like let's say Yanks want to move up might offer Gardner,79th pick,124th pick,2016 pick to say the Cardinals for Cruz,65th pick,Martinez,5th round pick or the Rangers Trade 34th pick to PIrates for 45th,123rd,2016 2nd,last 2 days,Who's left on the big board and so on.

not a baseball thing. It's a basketball or other sports thing, but modeling NBA/NFL/NHL behavior on baseball draft day when that's just not how baseball works -- where trades aren't even allowed still on draft day -- seems like a waste of investment of time.
It would be better if the game tracked this stuff more easily, but...that's all.

I see your point that it's not a baseball thing. But it's not a baseball thing right now, just like trading draft picks it's exactly a baseball thing right now. But what happens if MLB allows draft pick trading? It's how I choose to evolve my league, just like modifying the DH or adding a salary cap.
The fact that the game allows you to modify it to allow draft pick trading opens the doors to use it the way we want to use it, and right now there are some limitations. |

Baseball is really antiquated when it comes to some of its rules. Draft picks are assets and hence should be tradable. It would be cool to have this feature and to trade future picks. For now, you can make due by editing the slots yourself and making trades that make sense. But yeah, it would be better to have the real thing.

MLB does actually allow for draft pick trading in specific, limited circumstances. All picks gained during the Competitive Balance Lottery (essentially an NBA draft style draft lottery to gain sandwich picks between Rds 1 & 2 and Rds 2 & 3, only available to small market and bottom revenue teams) are tradeable. OOTP doesn't include this, and I don't think an actual draft pick has been traded yet in reality, but those picks are allowed to be traded.

Maybe make it an option since some people do but some people don't want it
