Help, I lost my draft pick

Ok… Who stole my draft pick? Seriously…

As you can see… I have the 13th pick (San Jose Athletics) as indicated in the Draft Logs screen. When the day of the draft occurred, I went to the Draft screen and presto… No more draft pick…

What do I do? How can I get that draft pick to appear?

How far out from the draft is the first screenshot? The same day, I'm assuming?

You're also missing the #27 pick in both screens. Something's up.

Most likely this is happening because you have free agent compensation turned on and you've lost the pick because of signing a type A free agent.

Then the pick should be going to the team that lost the free agent, so it should still exist, just like #27...Since it's in the top half of the draft, it should be protected too.

You're thinking of the old system under the old CBA which ended a couple years ago.

Under the current CBA, as OOTP correctly models it, a first round pick is forfeited when you sign a type A fa, not given to the team that you signed the fa from. The team that lost the fa is granted a pick in the compensation round, between the first and second rounds.

Also under the current CBA only the picks from 1-10 are protected, not all the picks in the top half of the draft.

Very weird… I continued into the draft and at spot 13, my team came up.

Oops...Sorry still happily stuck in pre-2012 CBA land.

Yes I really like how the league has come together. Want to thank all those who have created the logos and uniforms and caps…

Somehow your wall of logos has lodged itself in my smilies and I have no idea how to remove it. Weird! Oh I see, it's taken over for my embarrassed smilie. Umm...Interesting.
