Most impressive single season performance?
What's the most spectacular single season performance you've seen under standard simulation settings?
Just curious if people get outliers typical MLB rosters and standard sim settings and get something like a .400 AVG or 60 HR or 30 wins. Last edited by Living Lejuhnd; 07-16-2013 at 12:56 PM. |

This was fictional, not historical (well, I used the historical league structure and era settings) but in 1901, the very first year, in my league I had a guy hit .415.

this isn't totally out of the norm considering the time period, but Dick Stuart hit 64 home runs in 1959

Mine is slightly different but this is by far the most impressive season. Lynagh Furnice now holds the following season records in the german baseball league.
ERA: 1.31 Wins:23 Win PerCent:.958 Shutouts:8 Innings Pitched:220 Value over Replacement:99.0 Walks+hits/IP:0.81 OBP: .223 AVG: .184 SLG: .256 OPS: .479 The crazy thing was it was the same season that the best pitcher in the german league broke a load of career records. It was a great year for that league.

I had Ichiro Suzuki have a .401 AVG in 2009. But, he didn't end up qualifying.
Suzuki had a .401 AVG in 460 AB/480 PA. But, then he suffered 2 different 4 week injuries that prevented him from reaching 502 PA. |

Started a standard MLB league in 2013 and Joey Gallo hit 66 home runs in 2017.
His ratings were decent but nothing spectacular(11 contact, 17 power out of 20). He hit 32 in 2016 and 28 in 2018 so that 2017 was definitely an outlier so far. |

In my MLB 2013 Johnny Cueto went 25-2 in 2014. He started the season 15-0, and had a streak of 13 straight wins.
