Ideal Screen Resolution

Hi all, I've just purchased a new laptop and am now unable to see the entire OOTP game screen (the batter ratings are cut off). The new laptop is 15 in. while the previous was 17 in. Any help is greatly appreciated.

In the game preferences screen there is a "window size" drop down. Try "maximized".

Thanks for the reply Kq76. I've tried maximize (in fact, all sizes within the OOTP game engine) without luck.

Thanks MizzouRah; but that didn't help either. In addition to the batter ratings be partially obscured, the placement of the players on the diamond in BNN Broadcast is askew (for example the CF is placed right in the middle of the team header information.

Hmm. Odd. I'm at 1600x900 (not amazing but not bad) and it looks great for me, nothing is cut off. Are you using the smallest font size?

Any under OOTP -> preferences, you are using the same thing and also using "normal" fonts?

Phillies and Mizzou: I've set up my PC display AND my OOTP display to 1360 x 768 with no luck. I'm also using 'standard' font size. I don't have an option 1600 x 900.

Thanks for the reply Markus, but that didn't fix the display problem. Additionally, OOTP 13 and 14 always crash for me (on two different computers) when I alt-tab between OOTP and, for instance, Chrome.

not sure if you have tried this yet, but updated video drivers usually help with these types of issues

Thanks, Giants. I checked and my driver is up-to-date. Also, nice quotes! Thanks Georgia Peach, but I don't have that option for screen resolution.

Re: Ideal Screen Resolution

My laptop is set to 1366x768 and the game looks outstanding. I can see everything. Wish I had more real estate but it gets the job done.

So I know it can be done. Hopefully we can collectively figure out the issue so you can enjoy the game fully.

Can you post a screenshot showing exactly what is missing?

It looks great in FULLSCREEN mode, but crashes when I "alt-tab" between OOTP and another program.

just drag your task bar too the right or left hand side of the screen - what I had to do on my laptop, then you can see the bottom of the OOTP game.
