How do you load templates into ootpx?

Everybody releases mods w/o detailed instructions on how to install them.

How do I load a template (a downloaded folder) into OOTP X?

There are different kinds of templates, but if you just mean template templates then they're located in the data folder which is one folder up from the saved_games default folder. To see where your default saved_games folder see this thread.

As for loading them it looks like they just replace what your reports look like.

Trying to load an old MLB Fictional Quick Start .. into OOTP X.

The MLB Fictional Quick Start from PadsFan mod site wont load properly in OOTP X because it says it was created with an old version of OOTP.

Okay, then it's not a template.

Does it say anywhere what version it is from and do you have that version? If so, you might be able to convert it by starting a league with it, converting the lg and then saving the lg as a quickstart again.
