The league files must be placed into a folder within your "saved_games" directory. The folder should be named "[Your league's name].lg". The ".lg" extension allows OOTP to recognize the folder as a location where league files are stored.

I'm not sure why exactly it is, but it seems people have much more trouble getting set up with an online league with OOTP9 than they had with OOTP6. Obviously the location has changed, but I doubt it's just that. I know when I installed the CBL the files weren't already in a CBL.lg folder and I thought maybe our commish just missed a step, but Corsairs's post has got me thinking that OOTP9 doesn't put those files in a folder in the archive. I just checked SGCBL's archive and it doesn't either so I guess it is the game. OOTP should include the folder to make things easier and maybe even include a very simple readme.txt in the archive, but outside that folder, giving explicit instructions of how to set it up.

Is there something else OOTP10 could do to make the set up process easier for online leagues?
