Lineup change during game
Has the problem with the lineup changes during the game been fixed so that if we make a mistake and drop someone into the wrong slot or change our mind about someone we inserted into the lineup, we can take it back before going back to the game screen? This has been my biggest pet peeve.

I take it, based on the lack of a response, that the issue has not been fixed.

But, in this case, Markus has not yet been able to change this. We've asked, of course... I'll see if I can get his attention to this again. |

Just wondering if some kind of undo button can be created or something. Actually, I wouldn't have such a problem with it if there was a way to improve the lineup screen, such as larger slots or a popup asking if you're sure you want to make the change or whatever. It doesn't take much of a mouse movement to move someone to a slot above or below the one you're trying to drop them into. Last edited by StyxNCa; 02-10-2007 at 12:55 PM. |

I do understand, and we've brought the issue up to Markus, but for some reason it's something that's harder than it seems like it should be for him to change...

That's not to say abandoned your pesistence in bringing up concerns, but only to point out that it's not game-breaking. If it's perceived as potentially game-breaking, should it happen, then all the more reason to take even more care when making the changes. Mistakes can still happen; they do IRL. As long as there's a voice wailing the warning, at least there is an equal chance others will heed your caution.

The screens in '07 are much easier to see and are much easier on the eyes.

Along this line, I was hoping that the UI would be more intuitive. That is, when I'm making a lineup change, it would at least change the position I'm moving the pitcher into to P, rather than in 06 where a position player would get credit for a P appearance if I didn't disable the P position when making a double switch.
Hope this makes sense. |

I just made a note to double-check both of those things, and bring them up as issues if they haven't already been.
Thanks, Steve |

It may seem like a little thing, but it's one of those things that really slowed down playing out the games in '06 as well as the frustration of having position players inaccurately credited with pitching appearances and vice versa. I appreciate the consideration. |

I noticed all these things with 2006 and they all annoyed me to some degree or other, especially the inability to undo changes.
And players shouldn't get credited with playing time at a position until there has been at least one pitch thrown while they are at that position, right?
