International Leagues:
I did a search on this and it halfway answered my question. What is the difference between a Major League and an international league? Is there ANY advantage to creating an international league if you want to make this league your MAIN league? Would an international league be useful if you are combining MANY nations? For example: I am creating a South American baseball league (beautiful league so far, LOTS of research has put into it) with team is MANY different countries. So should I use a MAJOR LEAGUE or an INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE?

I just ran a very quick experiment with an INT league and a Major League both from Zimbobwa. Without making any adjustments to the equalivencies the players from the major league had much better rankings. The stats were similar but again this test was only one season.
So I thinkmajor league are going to produce much better players, use equalivancies to adjust exactly how good they are compared to your main major league.

I guess what I want to know then is if you pick International if somehow the name database or anything such as the name database will be from many different countries instead of just the League nation. Or if there are ANY positives to having an International as opposed to a Major LEague.

The only distinction I can gather from international leagues, is the fact that the talent level for an international league is LESSER than that of a major league from the same country.
That's it. I don't see any discernable gains beyond that, though I think depending on how much of a foreign influence your league has, the more foreign players you'd have. Besides that, nada. There doesn't seem to be any real material benefit to having a multi-national league or anything like that, beyond scouting and the such. I think as people play the game more and it starts to evolve, you'll get a lot more clarity on the range of things you can do with the whole international deal.

The only difference I've noticed is that if you pick "International" it defaults the equivalences to match the country, whereas picking "Major League" leaves them at 1.000. Of course you can go in and override them, so that's not too significant. The other thing is, setting some leagues as International allows you to filter out stats from those leagues using the "League Scope". It seems that the difference is mostly cosmetic.
