6.12 DFA and Service Time Bug

I believe I have found a bug with the DFA system and how service time is logged for players in v6.12.

Whenever a simmed day needs to be stopped when the game attempts to proceed to the next day because a player is in the DFA box with no days remaining, that day appears to be logged twice: once after the game is completed and another time in proceeding to the next after the sim is stopped and the player is removed from DFA. There might be some inconsistency in which teams' players are attributed the extra day of service time according to the sequence of games simmed that day, but at least a portion of the players in the league get charged with an extra day every time this happens.

I'd appreciate it if you could check this out and correct it before releasing v6.5 ... this can be a problem in online leagues with owners leaving players in the DFA box and interfering with the proper function of the service time system.

Thanks.

I don't know for sure whether this is the exact same bug, but in the KBL the regulars of different teams have different numbers of service days. After 99 days, regulars of some teams had 99 days, some teams 101 days, some 103, and so on and so forth. All regulars, players who have played the entire season in the majors, should have 99 days, not more nor less. Non-regulars, players who have not spent the entire season in the majors, should have less, but no players should have more like we are seeing. It is important that service time is counted correctly so that players are not becoming arbitration eligible or free agents sooner than they should.

This is our thread on it: http://kbl-ootp-online.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1125 with the problem discovered in post #4.

I think that is the same bug.

I hope Markus can fix that in a patch, it is just a matter of changing when the +1 routine is called, should be at a later stage :-)

I have not bothered to get 6.5 yet. Does anyone know if this has already been fixed in it? It's really starting to bug me every time the game has to stop for DFA time running out now that I know it's there.
