OOTP Patch Released: 26.5.66

Is there talk of a patch coming next week?

I may be taking crazy pills but I feel like all scouting post patch is...off.


For example in my save right now I only have like 20 RP in the whole game above 50/50.


Then I see guys like this at 40/40?

Your scout maybe? Turn scouting off and take a look. I definitely have solidly average relievers (stat wise) who can show in the 40/45 range. I take that as a completely avg reliever being not super desirable potential wise, yet I agree, I'd keep him.

My complaints about the Draft Scouting seem fixed on one playthrough. Didn't even have to turn the Combine off.

Also, catchers run back to home plate rather than taking a walkabout for 3 minutes! Thank you!

Works for me. Maybe you don't realize what it does or are not playing in commissioner mode?

First, make sure you're in commissioner mode, by selecting the "play in..." checkbox from the manager options screen. Then set the option to "no" from the file > settings > misc screen, go to the player search screen, right click on a player name, and it should list "clone player", "retire player", "delete player" at the bottom of the popup. Then go back to the option, select "yes", and if you go back to the player search screen and right click again then those options should no longer show.

EDIT: This option isn't anything anyone really needs to select unless they've accidentally selected one of those actions before or they think they might. I know I've seen someone comment that they've done it before and I'm sure it sucks to accidentally delete a player, but I doubt a lot of people have.

Nah, scout doesn't matter. Good or bad if they "scout" a guy to be 50 in all categories he shouldn't be a 40/40 ovr/pot?


Either way i tried 100%, scouting off, etc, and the individual ratings converted to OVR/POT don't make sense...

Ok I just misunderstood the feature, I thought it moved the buttons away from all of the dropdown menus, including the player pages. It's still mildly helpful though. Thanks for the clarification

a google search could I done my self haha, so a lazy question from my side. Just new to steam and have learned my lesson with automatic updates. Will turn that off/go back to fastspring in the future.
Will stay put for a little while and see if there is a hotfix incoming but that’s an alternative (if that solves the issue)

I am not that person to criticize really. Fantastic devs that like i have said before create the game that creates so much fun each year. Without OOTP life away from family-time would be missing something.
But an issue like this (i understand that a solution isn’t minutes away and testing after that to) but a word that at least we’re on it would be appreciated. Not only here this bug is talked about.
In a healthy relationship communication is key. With communication frustration lessens and a general understanding can easier be had from the end consumer. Not only this bug, it’s not more important than others, just an example.

The changelog is the communication. Whether they directly mention something or not in the comments here doesn't change the timeline to fix it. Can't micromanage every bug.

Obviously not. A pretty important and fundamental part of the game though.
But so far away on this forums to argue my case.

For whatever reason there is a column option under customize>misc info... called "Dem." ...which shows the demands. thanks to a friend telling me this. it at least works for me for Upcoming FA under my roster. hopefully it works for the offseason and rookie draft

I have that demand column in a couple of customised views already. So unfortunately it does not show demands, all it says is for example for the draft "slot" / "impossible" [to sign]. Upcoming FA have empty columns under demands. But I have paused play in May due to not seeing demands before the draft (checks all players with 2.5-5 stars in potential, scroll a customised view for the rest of the players without entering specific players profile #workflow)
