I'd say it has to be more than 10 000. 10 000 copies at 25 or 35$ a pop aint much revenue, and considering Markus needs to make a living off of this, I dont think hed be doing it if only 10 000 sold, but i may be wrong.
On second thought, just looked at how many people are registered on the forum, and got approximately 9240. I'm guessing atleast 90% of those have the game(that might be overtsating though, especially considering there are 6 versions, and alot of users probably only bought ootp 3 or 4 and have stuck with that). And, my guess is that around 75% of those who buy it register, which would mean my estimate is 13 000. Thought it would be more, and maybe it is, but thats my guess.
Although OOTP is an absolutely phenominal game for those of us here, its never going to compete with baseball games on XBOX or playstation, and no matter how good of a game it is for what it does, if what it does(simulating baseball) isnt appealing to a whole lot of people, then its not gonna sell hundreds of thousands of copies.
