Finding the Rhythm

As I settle into the rhythm of observing these leagues, the seasons are beginning to take shape in their own ways.

The Action Baseball League is now moving toward the home stretch—Act 3, the pennant race. With the All-Star Game now in the books, the focus turns to the stretch run and the teams positioning themselves for what promises to be an exciting finish.

In Major Sim Baseball, the season is preparing to enter its second act. June and early July lie ahead, building toward the All-Star Game between the Eastern and Western Leagues. This part of the year is always revealing—teams begin to show who they really are, and the contenders start to separate from the pack.

Players League 2025 is on the horizon. So far, only the inaugural game in Japan between the Cubs and Dodgers has been played, giving us a first glimpse of the league in action. The plan is to move forward into April and begin unfolding the season from there, watching how these current players perform in their new homes and new alignments across the league.

Over in Defending the Shield, the season is still unfolding as well. With the early acts of the season in motion, the path ahead is to carry the league through the remainder of the regular season, determine the champions, and move toward the culminating Super Series, where the season’s ultimate winner will be decided.

Meanwhile, Players League 1946 is preparing to move into Act 2, continuing the unfolding story of that historic season.

Looking ahead, the Premier Baseball Circuit remains in the planning stages. The concept is simple but compelling: a return to the original Action Baseball League, this time featuring real players.

Each league carries its own pace and personality, but together they form a living tapestry of seasons, stories, and moments still waiting to happen. As always, the task remains the same—sit with the game, observe what unfolds, and see which stories emerge as the seasons move forward.
