I think it's a wrap for the year... below are the details of the 6 teams I created and their successes/failures to date. A couple things are apparent;
The Commodores certainly got a head start: They got all the Twitch Drops (456 Standard packs & 97 Silver packs) and the most attention to missions (103 out of 145). Would have been higher, but the typical mission roadblocks (overpriced cards) blocked me from doing better. The Active roster breakdown was 16 cards purchased from card shop, 1 from choice pack, 4 from standard packs, 4 from mission rewards, and 1 from ClubHouse. With an 87 team ratings, one would think the Commodores would be better, but this week is their 2nd consecutive demotion and it's clear there little room at Diamond/Gold for rating under 90. My $100 investment gave me a quick start and 5 seasons in Low Diamond, but it's highly unlikely I can return to that level without another sizeable investment. I could give up on the Reserve roster and sell everything off - that might give me a couple high-end players to extend the team's success for a while, but the end result in inevitable = probably HS at best.
The other 5 teams have team ratings 67-69 which are pretty average for HS/LS/HB. Without Twitch drop support, time, or money, these teams will play roller-coaster between those three levels for the balance of the year. Sure, a lucky pack or two can make a difference, but they will never see Gold or Diamond without a serious time/$$ investment.
All that said, 5 times in Diamond is better than I have done since PT19, so I would consider this version a success - ALTHOUGH - I still have a beef that I reached an 87 rated roster by the middle of May and have no place to go from here
I'm glad the classic game is still here though. It'll keep me engaged in baseball till V27 comes out.
