...Akashemo 4-1 A.Spirits - 3-4(10), 10-6(10), 10-2, 11-9, 4-2

Tsapna 10, Cheshek 3: A 3-homer day for Tsapna 1B Safishi Ifata leads the way here, as he drove in five runs. RF Iti Tashete added two solo blasts from the leadoff spot.

Akashemo 11, Aroketsil Spirits 9: a bad series for the reeling Spirits was almost home to one of the EL's all-time great comebacks. Down 11-4 with two outs in the 9th and no one on, the Spirits rattled off six consecutive baserunners to bring the tying run to the plate, but CF Roshuere Nesatapame struck out against Akashemo closer Monon Watafo, who they'd been hoping not to use in the game.

Shunna Eagles 14, Kepmem 8: also comeback vibes here - the Eagles led 14-0 after five innings, but Kepmem scored at least once in each of the final four frames to make their hosts sweat.

Round 26:
....Sitache 2-3 Sh.Eagles - 4-3, 2-3, 0-4, 6-5(10), 1-6
.......Muni 1-4 National - 2-3, 7-6, 2-3, 0-1(10), 2-3

.A.Canaries 3-2 Nokelto - 3-5, 7-0, 3-5, 12-9(10), 4-2
.....Semyof 1-4 Lutrul - 3-5, 10-4, 0-1, 4-8, 0-4
.....Kepmem 4-1 Akashemo - 6-3, 6-4, 7-4(11), 2-0, 6-12
....Fampalo 2-3 Cheshek - 1-2, 2-1, 14-0, 2-4, 1-10
.....Hokrof 2-3 A.Spirits - 8-2, 5-4, 2-14, 2-5, 2-4
..Amnanache 2-3 Tsapna - 1-7, 0-5, 5-4, 3-0, 3-4

Fampalo 14, Cheshek 0, and Akashemo 12, Kepmem 6: Fampalo SS Wyku Tofpalts and Akashemo LF Putta Faseltsa finished a single away from the cycle in their respective games. You don't normally see that being the stumbling block. Two EL players have hit for the cycle this season, but both were all the way back in round 4 (March 20-24).

Tsapna officially move up into second place, having a much superior run differential to the Spirits (+158 to +69). Have to imagine they will hold that tiebreaker the rest of the season.

A terrible week for Semyof, going 2-8 and widening the gap between them and safety to five games. The Canaries had a good week, winning two series albeit against fellow relegation-caliber opposition. Still worth shouting out.

The return series for Oaks vs. Spirits is up next week - if the Spirits sweep, then I might start seasoning some crow to eat.
