Out of 80? Yes. higher is better of course, but 45 can work. 40 can even work. Below 40, however, should only be emergency replacements IMO.
I wouldn't expect your prospects with even good overalls to perform well right off the bat in the majors however. For example, I had the #2 prospect in the league who was playing great in AAA and with an injury to my starting CF, which he also is, I decided to bring him up as a backup to my normal backup. I ended up starting him like 5 games since his ratings are a fair bit better than my backup's ratings and he stunk the joint up. He couldn't hit, he couldn't field, he couldn't even not get picked off. Other than 1 game in which he got 2 infield hits due to his speed, he was a total disaster. I went back to starting my backup and am leaving the kid off the playoff roster. I don't know this for sure of course, but I suspect that at least some players who have never been in the majors before may have a diminishing factor applied to them. It'd make sense. Some players IRL seem to get starstruck in the majors. I'm hoping that next year's pre-season will help him get past that.
