In Game 1, Miguel Salazar led the Colonels to a 14-1 rout, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs, while Manny Flores added a crucial 3-run homer in the first inning. Game 2 was tighter, but Charlotte prevailed 4-3, thanks to Jose Vicario's 3-for-4 performance and Sergio Barraza's bases-loaded walk that broke a tie in the fifth inning. The series concluded with a 5-2 victory in Game 3, where Tony Barnes pitched 6.1 innings of shutout ball, and Nigel Hudson's 3-run homer secured the win. The Colonels improved to an impressive 19-7, while the Storm struggled, dropping to 10-16.

Manny Flores had a big 3-run home run for the Colonels in the bottom of the first inning. With Charlotte trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Brian Manchester, who finished 5th in the NBC in wins with 17 in 1979, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Colonels on top, 3-1.
Tampa Bay manager Mike Khoury called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
GAME 2 - Storm Come Up Short at Charlotte, 4-3
The Charlotte Colonels topped the Tampa Bay Storm by a score of 4-3. Leading the way was second baseman Jose Vicario. Vicario was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Colonels. Edwin Martinez collected save number 7. Charlotte goes to 18-7.

The Chicago Fire picked up a win at Dukes Field, knocking off the Detroit Dukes, 6-5. Starting pitcher Heriberto Jimenez was a big reason why. The loss makes Detroit 14-10.
Chicago took a 6-5 lead on Alex O' Donell's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which O' Donell hit in the top of the seventh, left Detroit pitcher Bill Hackman visibly frustrated.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Jimenez told the Chicago Today.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Hayes hit a 2-run home run off Tony Espinal. It propelled the Dukes into the lead, 4-2.

In Game 1, Dallas secured a 7-3 win, powered by Bill Rambow's 3-for-5 performance, including a crucial run-scoring double in the third inning. Minneapolis responded in Game 2 with a 6-3 victory, highlighted by Ricky Thompson's incredible 5-for-6 day at the plate, raising his season average to .439. However, Dallas bounced back in Game 3, winning 7-3, thanks to Gabriel Zayas' solid pitching and Alejandro Rosado's clutch 2-run single in the eighth inning. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."
Ricky Thompson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

In 8 innings, Zayas surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs. The Blizzard, now 9-17, continue their slow start.
Had Alejandro Rosado not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Rosado hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Rustlers.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rosado.

San Diego Wins Series 2-1
San Diego manages to best Cobras in tough division fight.
Here's the skinny: The San Diego Seraphs and Los Angeles Cobras clashed in a three-game series that saw both teams fighting hard for wins. In Game 1, San Diego took a 6-4 victory with Dante Ramos leading the way, hitting a 3-run homer in the first inning to set the tone. Despite a strong 3-for-3 performance from Los Angeles' Emmanuel Robertson, it wasn't enough to overcome the Seraphs. San Diego responded in the final game with a 5-2 win, as Kennie Murdock delivered a solid pitching performance and Masakuni Shiratori's 2-run single in the first inning provided an early lead.
