Well, there you have it... Let's take a look at the totals for today's game. First for the victorious Philadelphia Fury, 3 runs, on 5 hits, no errors, they left 3 men on base. The game between the Boston Patriots and the Philadelphia Fury was a tightly contested pitching duel for much of the evening. Boston's offense struggled against Philadelphia's starting pitcher, Gilberto Flores, failing to produce any hits through the first four innings. The Patriots finally broke through in the seventh inning, scoring two runs on singles by Sandy Fierro and David Ramos, giving them a 2-nothing lead. Despite this, they left several runners on base throughout the game, unable to capitalize on more opportunities to extend their lead.
Philadelphia's offense was similarly stymied by Boston's pitcher, Victor Martinez, who kept them scoreless through eight innings. Martinez's dominant performance was undone by one powerful swing, allowing the Fury to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in the final inning.
