It sounds like your display is still screwed up. My guess is your screen resolution is pretty small.
What is the resolution of your monitor?
Did you try
what biggerme said? I'd recommend setting the display mode to full screen, but if you select windowed then I'd try maximized for the window size. If those don't work for you, then yeah, you're probably going to have to try the window sizes by trial and error.
