I mean… I’m just a web developer and I make more than WNBA rookies and I believe a fair number of vets too. There is a point to be made that this might be more like the early NFL or NBA where talents like Heisman Trophy winner Byron White went into law instead of giving a second thought to an NFL career.
Also of course unlike men if women want to start a family they have to take time off. Witness Elena Della Donne this year.
All that said, Clark is getting a loooot of money from endorsements and frankly the hardest run of games that like anyone in the WNBA has perhaps ever had to face is no proof that she lacks stick to it iveness or something. Anyone, Jordan included, would be completely run down after 11 games in 20 days.
