If I shop a good young MLB pitcher looking for a catching prospect I used to be able to look and say I was offered 14 catching prospects and 1 is a 5 star 2 are 4 and 3 are 3.5 and the other 9 are 2.5 I could quickly scan the 2.5 stars to see if they were worth looking at now if I get offered 14 I have to spend time looking at each one since they are almost all 2.5 or 3 stars. Not the end of the world but like I said making a deep game more time consuming really wasn't the goal.

I think it’s less about the Nellie Foxes of the world and more about the Shaq Thompsons… or (insert a Dutch Honkbal player here). It also I think begins to lay the groundwork for proper feeder leagues, at least at the collegiate (and at that probably 4 year college) level.
