May recap: Division leaders
Lager League: Pilsner Division - Tree House Tornado / Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot:
Finishing the month with a four game slide brought Tree House down enough to put them into a tie with Weyerbacher for the division lead. Newly acquired starter Ramon Sierra is having a career year for the Tornado so far. After a year with Scorched Earth and three years with Boulder where he topped out with 8 wins in a single season; Sierra has already racked up a 7-0 record in 9 starts. For Weyerbacher, long time first baseman Alex Madrigal is leading the offensive charge with 13 home runs, 47 RBIs and a .329 average
Lager League: Kolsch Division - Twisted X Chupahopra:
In one of the tighter division races, Twisted X holds a 2 game lead over Charleville and Scorched Earth (and sit only 4.5 games ahead of last place). 2028 first round draft pick, Ryan Booker, is starting to come into his own for the club as the staff ace. Booker has a 5-2 record with 28 strikeouts and a 2.65 ERA.
Lager League: Helles Division - Waikiki Jalapeno Mouth:
The tightest division race in the league, Waikiki sits atop the division with just 3 games separating all 5 teams. Left fielder and leadoff batter Danny Rivera is setting the table well for the club this season, batting a solid .356 so far, with a .412 OBP and 25 runs scored. On the mound starter Abdullah Bin Ayoob has a stellar 7-1 record with 48 strikeouts and a 3.27 ERA.
Lager League: Tripel Division - Meadowlark Magic Hobo Monkeys:
Defense is the name of the game in Meadowlark, as the Magic Hobo Monkeys are riding their top rated defense to the top of the division. Meadowlark is ranked 1st in defensive efficiency (.742), zone rating (+17.2), and bullpen ERA (2.48); and 2nd in starter ERA (3.27), and errors (14).
Stout League: Porter Division - Three Floyds Apocalypse Cow / Terrapin Hopsecutioner:
Three Floyds triumvirate of solid starters is powering them to the top of the division along with Terrapin. Ben Troyer (5-3, 1.21 ERA), Theo Jackson (5-1, 2.54 ERA), and Clark Egan (5-1, 2.13 ERA) give their club a solid chance every outing. For the Hopsecutioner, youngster Jose Carrasco (21 years old) has quickly emerged as a force at the plate, with a team leading .355 average.
Stout League: Dunkel Division - Chafunkta Kingfish:
After years of sub par teams and sub 500 finishes, Chafunkta is starting to see the fruits of their high draft picks. 2027 first round pick, Brad Eberly is having a career year with 12 home runs, 47 RBIs and a .404 average. But that average doesn't even lead his own club, as 2028 first round pick, Justin Burris is outpacing his teammate with a .423 average, 11 home runs and 32 RBIs.
Stout League: Eisbock Division - Russian River Blind Pig:
Even with player turnover, some things never change, like seeing Russian River atop the Eisbock division. Shortstop Gil Gonzalez has worked his way up to the top ranked player at his position in the league. He currently leads the club with a .311 average, 9 home runs and 30 RBIs.
Stout League: Altbier Division - Odious Cellars Rubied Perspective:
A five game winning streak to end the month has Odious Cellars in a place they've never been at the end of a season... first place. It's a team effort with the club, as no one on the offense or defense finds themselves ranked in the league leaderboards.
