I'd be more okay with trading them if they were limited in some way.

I like the NBA's Stepien rule that you can't trade consecutive 1st rd picks. The history of it is interesting. Basically this guy Ted Stepien was the owner of the Cavs in the early 80s and he kept trading away their 1st rd picks getting next to nothing in return when he could have drafted so many players who ended up hall of famers. So the NBA had to step in and limit the trading of them.

I'd hate to pick up a team that traded away a bunch of their picks.
