Gold league:
(heh, beat me to the results... a little extra here for the wild card drama in the AC)
Waffletown had a solid season at the Gold tier, finishing with the best record in the NC (99-63) and nabbed their 10th OL Gold tier crown.
Overall, there was some late season drama in the AC between Eden Prairie and Waxhaw. With two games remaining, Waxhaw held a 2 game lead over Eden Prairie for the last wild card spot. Unfortunately for Waxhaw, their final two games were against the top team in the league. Waxhaw would lose both games; while Eden Prairie won their last two games to leave each team at 81-81.
In game 163, it was a back-n-forth game, with Eden Prairie scoring first in the bottom of the 2nd to take a 1-0 lead. Waxhaw would tie it in the next frame 1-1, only to let that lead slip away in the bottom of the 3rd as Eden Prairie took a 3-1 lead. Waxhaw scored again in the 5th to make it 3-2; and then took their first lead of the game with 2 runs in the 7th to make it 4-3. It would remain 4-3 until the bottom of the 9th, when Eden Prairie scratched out a run to even up the game. Eden Prairie would send their crowd home happy with a walk-off, playoff clinching run in the bottom of the 10th to take the game 5-4 to steal the last playoff spot from Waxhaw.
Playoff tree - Waffletown and Aomori bookend the NC bracket as they both await the winner of the wild card round. In the AC, Los Angeles and Eden Prairie will both play in the wild card round, but not against each other; so with a little luck, there could be an all-OL LCS.
No relegations this season
