If you're not doing this already, consider a backup program for your PC or Mac. I use Macrium Reflect Home but there are other backup programs available also. This backs up my entire PC once a week and incrementally the other six days. Then no matter what happens I can restore files or folders on demand. Losing your OOTP save is bad enough but losing all of your PC data is much worse.
