In a situation like this this, if you try and explain the issue, there is a contingent of folks that will start the criticisms, and if you try and further explain the criticisms start stacking up.
It's sometimes much better to simply wait until you can release it, apologize, and the customers will be so busy examining the new item they won't take the time to complain.

And on all the software releases I was involved with over 35 years there were always smoe people standing around asking "where is it?" Fortunately Markus and company are busy working and not reading this forum, so no harm done.
