Yeah, this is so off base it's not even worth a response, but I'll take the click bait and do so, even though I know better
Just myself, personally, I've made well over 100,000 db edits (each edit being just clicking save on a player, many of those edits could involve up to 20 or more fields being edited at the same time) just within this last year. That's just the physical task of actually typing in the db too, never mind the countless hours needed to do the research that's needed to determine the changes needed and gather data.
That's also not counting countless lines of importing of players/stats/ratings edits from files, or any of the work any other folks have done in the db.
In a database with over 100k players (and that's not even getting into the question of the historical db), there are going to be some things that take a while to get updated and get occasionally missed. Anyone who understands the first thing about the stupefying amount of work and effort involved would realize that.
There's no way around that unfortunately and it has nothing to do with a lack of effort or desire. To keep everything entirely and completely up to date in a db of our size would take probably easily 5-10 times the amount of staff and resources we have available to work on the db. Even Football Manager doesn't do a better job of it with their db, with well over 10 times the amount of staff and resources to devote to the db that we have.
