I agree with RchW here. Some glitches remain but there is a whole lot of improvement too.
Today I had runners on 1st and 2nd, with 1 out. Groundball to third, third baseman stepped on third for the out and threw to first but the runner beat the throw. In 21 I did see the 5U-3 double play but never the runner beating the throw at first. But it's more than just additional plays, like this one and the ones others have mentioned, its also the quality of the movements being improved.
For v22 stadiums were the priority upgrade for playing out games, and they do look fantastic. My hope is player models and movements are the priority for v23 and they get them up to the standard of the new stadiums. It might not be "The Show" but it will be way more than I ever imagined OOTP would be.
The new cameras in the patch are from my game. I sent them to Matt and he liked them enough to include. My suggestion to you is to enable the dynamic camera, and uncheck the 1b line and 3b line cameras so they're not used as dynamic cameras. They're cool to use for HR replays among other things but are a bit too zoomed in for "live" dynamic views. With them disabled the game will tend to select the "behind the dugout" camera in their place and you get some nice visuals "live".
Like player movement\models the dynamic camera still has some glitches, IE for me, mostly not getting the OF catching the ball in view on all plays. The DC is still a bit of a work in progress but, at least for me, I'd say 80-90% of the time it works quite well.
I would also suggest trying my settings from this thread..

Just some of my thoughts, you may not agree with me on the level of improvement and that's ok too.

Sweed, I jumped the gun and was out of line... I'm guilty of judging by small sample... maybe I also was expecting too much as well.
I appreciate all of the comments from everyone... my criticisms were off-base.
My apologies to Matt Arnold and the animation development team.
Really looking forward to playing my leagues in OOTP22... the animation is way, way, way beyond anything that I ever thought OOTP would ever be.
You guys are right... it is smoother... and it will probably have fixed a lot of the glitches in the animation.
I saw something new recently... with the bases loaded, the catcher picked up a ball right in front of home plate and stepped on home plate for the force out... that was really neat.
Looking forward to other treats and surprises in store for me in the animation.
Thanks for the camera view info and advice... much appreciate it.
