Ballast Point victorious with late surge
While they quickly fell behind 2-0 after a half inning of play, Ballast Point remained focused. A three run burst in the bottom of the fourth gave the Commodores the lead and they wouldn't relinquish it. After chasing Jazzy Razzy starter Jon Hartley in the 6th inning, the floodgates opened and Ballast Point pushed across 7 more runs to claim a 10-3 win to open the Mashing Series.
