Schedule for 26 teams, 120 games - 2 subleagues, each with 2 divisions of 7 and 6 teams respectively
Interleague YES, balanced games NO
----------
for 7-team divisions:
11 games vs. 6 division opponents (4-7H/4-7A)
6 games vs. 6 league opponents (3H/3A)
3 games vs. 6 interleague opponents (3H or 3A)
for 6-team divisions:
12 games vs. 5 division opponents (6H/6A)
6 games vs. 7 league opponents (3H/3A)
3 games vs. 6 interleague opponents (3H or 3A)
----------
For the 6-team divisions, all series are 3 games - pretty straightforward. The 7-team divisions get a little spicier to account for 11 games played per division opponent. 2 opponents are only played in 3 series, with a 7/4 split between cities, and the other four opponents are played in 4 series with a 6/5 split between the two venues. That gives each team four 4-game series and four 2-game series throughout the year, a little more variety.
Interleague is more or less random - most teams will play three random opponents from each of the opposite league's divisions, with at least one home and one away per division. That means that if you use the schedule for many seasons, interleague matchups will tend to all be played about equally often
----------
Season begins on a Friday and ends on a Sunday approx. 4 1/2 months later. For example, starting with the 2020 default the schedule runs April 3 to August 23
Weekday games begin at 7:05 local time, Sundays at 1:05 and Saturdays a mix between 1:05, 4:05 and 7:05
ASG a little more than halfway through the season (day 82 - late June if you start in early April)
----------
Homestands and road trips are almost all 6-10 games in length, none longer than 10
Everything looks good in my test league but let me know if you have any issues!
