It all depends on what your league totals modifiers are. In fact, if you've had your league auto-adjust this season, I suggest not touching anything unless complete game totals are off. I have a league set in 1948 and I thought pitchers were going too long as well; then I checked and they're completing games almost exactly as often as IRL.

Generally speaking, even going back to the 60s starters straight up did not throw as hard as they do today because they were expected to go through the order 3-4 times. There were I think it was 42 complete games last year; if you look at your season I'm sure you'll see that there were hundreds then. There were probably fewer pitches per at bat then too but that 130 pitch threshold just wasn't something guys talked about much (in fact I can pretty much pinpoint the Baseball Prospectus article from I think 1998 that enshrined that 120-130 pitch threshold as the point of danger).
