Went slightly away from what I mentioned in my previous post to add a little variety; there are now some 4-game and 2-game sets and the length of the season is right where it should be.
----------
Schedule for 12 teams, 162 games - 2 subleagues, each containing 2 divisions of 3 teams
Interleague YES, balanced games NO
----------
39 games vs. 2 division opponents (20H/19A, 19H/20A)
16 games vs. 3 league opponents (7-9H/7-9A)
6 games vs. 6 interleague opponents (3H/3A)
----------
Season begins on a Friday in late March and ends on a Sunday in late Sept./early Oct. This is one day shorter than the typical modern MLB schedule (185 days)
Weekday games begin at 7:05 local time; Sunday games at 1:05, and Saturdays a mix between 1:05, 4:05 and 7:05
All-Star Game in the normal spot, a Tuesday in early/mid July
Interleague games are played towards the middle of the schedule, starting around the end of April and going up to the All-Star break, and there are a ton of divisional games after the break
----------
Most homestands and roadtrips will be in the 6-10 game range. One team has a 13-game road trip in June; tried to avoid that but couldn't quite get around it.
