Regardless, I've got 2 f2p teams in Diamond, and a $100 team. I've been in Perfect 3 times across the teams. To dismiss the possibility of gold+ without putting money in is crazy.
To the OPs point though, $100 isn't going to drastically change your team. It's not going to magically make you win diamond and compete in Perfect. If you're wanting put some money in and grab a favorite player or something, fine, but don't expect $100 to push you over the edge into competing at Perfect.

You missed my point. I don't expect to make it to the higher levels. All I'm saying is that PT21 makes it significantly harder to compete than the previous two versions and that is mostly due to the fact that the Auction House prices have gone through the roof - and a team of Diamonds and Gold players use to fair better in PT19/20 than they do in PT21.
